Banta Applauds State Funding Secured by Erie County Senators

ERIE – Rep. Jake Banta (R-Erie) applauds Erie County Sens. Dan Laughlin (R-Erie) and Scott Hutchinson (R-Butler/Clarion/Erie/Forest/Venango/Warren) for helping secure almost $1.75 million in Local Share Account (LSA) grant funding for the 4th Legislative District.
“Partnerships in every level of state government are essential to make sure we can effectively represent and serve our shared communities,” Banta said. “By supporting a variety of projects and services, we can bring more money into Erie County to assist all residents. I applaud Sens. Hutchinson and Laughlin for their hard work and appreciate their advocacy to help make these projects possible.”
Banta commends the following projects and awards:
• Corry City Redevelopment Authority, on behalf of YMCA of Corry Pennsylvania: $51,000 to complete a comprehensive stormwater plan at the YMCA.
• Mckean Township: $146,888 to extend a sewer line along Grubb Road.
• Mckean Township: $377,443 to purchase a heavy-duty maintenance and snowplow truck with necessary accessories.
• North East Township: $110,028 to replace hydrant adapters and connectors for hydrant assemblies throughout the township.
• Summit Township Water Authority: $342,208 to construct a well in Waterford Township.
• Waterford Township: $282,600 to purchase a new loader.
• West County Paramedics: $437,684 to purchase five new cardiac monitors and required software.
Banta similarly brought in more than $1 million in LSA grants for projects related to public safety, road improvements and infrastructure developments. Click here for the press release on those projects.
LSA grants are funded through gaming revenues and are used to support economic development, community improvement and other projects that enhance quality of life for Pennsylvania residents.
The grants are approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency responsible for administering these grants and other state investments that promote economic growth, infrastructure development and community revitalization throughout the Commonwealth.
